[ A P P E A R A N C E ]
Sora is short in stature, for all his 16 years, standing 5’8” with spiky brown hair that can barely be considered cropped. He’s thin, lithe and borderline effeminate, never above resorting to the pouty face if he deems it necessary. He also has wonderfully large, bright blue eyes ~~that sparkle with the innocence of youth~~ ~~that Riku could easily drown in~~ that make him seem several years younger.

[ P E R S O N A L I T Y ]
Sora has always been a happy, regular (if somewhat naive) kid on the surface. On a little bit deeper of a level, he's fiercely loyal and determined enough to almost be called stupid at times. But even on his completely deepest level, he's completely humble and pure in wanting nothing but good things to happen for people and wishing the best of the world and the people in it. Albeit, this causes him to be disappointed often, but he's never given up on that hope and it is what motivates him. It helps him to always extend a helping or friendly had, go out of his way to do something nice, or make even the smallest adjustment for others' comfort.

[ H I S T O R Y ]
Sora was a regular kid, growing up on Destiny Islands. He had his best friend (Riku), his family, and all sorts of other friends. He was never particularly bad at anything, but never the best either. In fact, he always seemed to come in second. He met Kairi when they were around 8, and immediately grew attached. She joined himself and Riku and they became a quaint, friendly threesome. When they learned that Kairi had not just come from another of the islands but from a different world, it wasn't a stretch for he and Riku both to immediately want to go see those other worlds. And so, at 15 and 16 respectively, they began to work on a raft to sail away together and see what they could.

They couldn't have expected the darkness to come to the island so soon. But, the door had been opened, through Riku's dark and jealous heart, and soon the cheerful tropics were overrun with massive shadows of Heartless. Riku saw it as their chance to finally get away, to finally see the other worlds. Sora was terrified. Chosen as the keyblade master, he fought the darkness, trying hard to save his friends but eventually getting sucked away from the island with them as Destiny Islands winked out of existence.

And that was where Sora's journey began. Immediately, he was thrust into an adult's world--told that he and his key, his keyblade, were the only way they could seal the world and stop the darkness from spreading. That was how he first met Ansem--or rather, Xehanort's Heartless. He possessed the dark corners of his best friend's heart, forcing Sora to fight him to save Riku and Kairi both. He destroyed Ansem, but the result was Kairi being sent back to the restored islands and Riku being locked inside Kingdom Hearts with King Mickey.

And that was where Sora's search began. Immediately, he began to scour the worlds with his new friends, Donald and Goofy, to find Riku. He stumbled across a mansion, a huge mansion called Castle Oblivion. Within it, he met many of the members of a secret group of nobodies called Organization XIII. As he progressed through the mansion, however, he began to lose his memory. He forgot his friends, his magic, his adventures. He forgot Kairi. It was the Nobody witch, Naminé's work, he eventually discovered. She had been separating and altering the chains of his memories. After defeating the members within and freeing Naminé from their control, she offered to put his memory back to the way it was. Back to remembering Kairi, and knowing that Naminé wasn't the girl he'd made a promise to keep safe. Hesitantly, he agreed and was put to sleep for a full year to recover while she continued to resculpt his memory once more.

When he awoke, he had forgotten all of the events of Castle Oblivion. Reunited with Donald and Goofy, he set off to continue his search for Riku. He met with Yen Sid, who told him of Organization XIII, a group of powerful Nobodies whose plot was to gather as many hearts as they could to regain their own hearts. Perhaps somewhat mindlessly, Sora went about fighting these nobodies as he continued to search the worlds.

Eventually, when he went to their World That Never Was for a final showdown, he ran into Kairi again who reveals that the man who helped her who looks exactly like Xehanort's Heartless is actually Riku, who had given into the darkness to save Sora. They fight together and go meet with DiZ, a man who had helped Riku to do this, who actually reveals himself to be Ansem the Wise. He makes an attempt to destroy the hearts that Organization XIII has gathered and in doing so destroys himself and turns Riku back into his blindfolded himself. Riku discards the Organization XIII ensemble and together, he and Sora go to save the world from Xemnas.

After a rough battle, Sora and Riku find themselves in an endless oblivion fighting dusk after dusk after dusk. When they all finally disappear, Riku is wounded. Sora helps carry him until they reach a darkened beach. Sitting on this beach together, a bottle floats up to where Riku's feet are and he hands the letter inside to Sora. Kairi had written it before leaving the islands to find them. Reading it, Sora finds his light and creates a path through which he and Riku return to Destiny Islands for a cheerful reunion amongst all of their friends--Donald, Goofy and Mickey included.
